Country Fire Authority

Merat Pty Ltd, Architects has completed the design and construction of an extensive number of new fire stations for the Country Fire Authority Victoria over the past fifteen years.

With the migration of major recent CFA stations into Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) there has been significant design changes to provide a consolidated service to the communities served.
 

The majority of these station are classified as Type 3B, permanently staffed stations whilst we have also completed a Type 3C station in Dandenong, the latter comprises a further step up in terms of scope providing a six bay motor room and sixteen bed dormitory.

The Shepparton Fire Station was completed with handover to the Brigade in March 2021 successfully integrating the local volunteer brigade into the FRV facilities

The Shepparton station site is 6453 sq.metres and the total gross floor area is 1826 Sq.metres. The project was completed by regional contractors, Crow Constructions  at a cost of $ 5.6 million
